Sandra Cross returned to her first love, poetry after retiring from her career as a lawyer. She watches sunset and sun rise from her house in Stinson Beach, hikes on Mt Tam, and grows artichokes and squash in her backyard. Mostly self taught since her college days, She has been on the Board of the Marin Poetry Center for several years, and in the fall of 2020 began the MFA program at St Mary’s College of California, where she has studied with Brenda Hillman, Matthew Zapruder and Ada Limon.
